David Bowie’s career in the entertainment industry has really seen him make major accomplishments. He was able to make a breakthrough in the rock music industry and he took advantage of his fame to try out another career line which included acting, being an arranger and producing records. With a career spanning over four decades, he clearly knew what he was doing and he also had what it takes to make such accomplishments. For all the four decades that he has rocked us, he earned the title of being regarded as an innovator. His voice is very distinct which has seen his sing chart topping tunes. His career began as early as 1969 whereby he caught the attention of the public when he sang the song titled “Space Oddity”. The impressive thing with this release is that it immediately reached the top five of the singles chart in the United Kindgom. This was quite a major achievement for a solo performance.
He had a stint of experimenting with different genres of music and his attempt at playing glam rock music saw him come up with the single titled “Starman” which became a hit single soon after. The release of this successful single was done together with the flamboyant alter ego Ziggy Stardust. The single was part of his album titled “The rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars”. According to his biographer, Mr. David Buckley, Bowie had a major impact at that time as he was able to challenge the core belief of the entire rock music industry at that era of rock music. The biographer further states that Bowie might have probably created the biggest cult in the pop culture. During these four decades, he maintained his success by continually reinventing himself with musical innovation and a striking visual presentation that wowed us all.
