The name might give you a hard time pronouncing but this has not interfered with the music that the band makes. It has also not affected their success and the climb to the top as they have clearly done this without much hassle. This is an American rock band that was formed back in the year 1964 in the great city of Jacksonville, Florida. The band has however not had an instant rise to fame as they had to slowly wow their home fans before they could propel the into a countrywide and later on an international platform of success. This saw them begin with a gradual prominence in the Southern part of the United States back in the year 1973. They clearly did a great job as this saw their recognition slowly take an upward trend before their international recognition eventually emerged. The band has experienced the usual trend where band members leave due to various circumstances but they managed to replace them with great talent that kept the tempo of the music that the band released intact.

They experienced some sad news in 1977 when three of their band members and a member of their road crew died in an airplane crash. It was quite saddening as they were headed to handle band business which they were not able to. The band members took a break as they tried to recollect themselves and probably try to gather enough courage and strength to move on. They had lost a considerable amount of talent but somehow, they got the strength they needed. They managed to reform in the year 1987 so they could participate in a reunion tour. The tour was spearheaded by Jimmy who was their lead singer Ronnie Van Zant’s younger brother.
