Formally known as Steen Patrick Morrissey, this is a renowned English born singer and very successful lyricist. His major reign was in the eighties which is when he rose to prominence. At that time, he was the celebrated vocalist and lyricist for the renowned alternative rock band, The Smiths. Just by looking at the success of the band, the impact that Morrissey had with his input is clearly visible. He was able to work with the band and saw them rise to fame as one of the highly successful rock bands of that time. They were highly successful in the United Kingdom and they were also able to gather a huge following in other parts of the world. The band decided to call it quite back in 1987 and that is when Morrissey decided to pursue a solo career as he still had that drive and ambition to continue rocking the entire rock community.

His talent was exceptionally amazing as soon after his decision to go solo, he was able to make it to the top ten of the United Kingdom Singles Chart. What’s even more intriguing is that he was able to repeat this chart topping act a total of ten times. Clearly, his solo career was booming. Up to date, he is regarded as an important innovator of Indie music. He is also regarded as one of the most influential artists ever to grace the industry as many artists have come into the industry and eventually left without achieving a fraction of the success that he has achieved. His lyrics have continually been described as being bleak, dramatic and funny vignettes as he sings about doomed relationships, the burden of the past, lonely nightclubs and the prison of the home.
